Biography

José A. Díaz-Herrero joined the firm in 2023 as a tax associate in the Corporate Department.

José’s practice focuses on corporate and tax matters, including compliance, business formation, tax planning, and tax incentives.

José earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and obtained one of the top ten scores on the September 2023 Puerto Rico Bar Exam.

During his time in law school, he passed all four sections of the CPA exams and was a member of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review, where he served as Associate Editor (2020–2021), Senior Editor (2021–2022), and Executive Editor (2022–2023). He also worked with Professor Ana C. Gómez as a Teaching Assistant and participated in the O&B Summer Associates Program during the summers. In his final year of law school, he co-authored the law review article “Conflicto, divorcio y muerte en la gestión empresarial,” 92 Rev. Jur. UPR 597 (2023).
