Biography

Eduardo López-Cepero joined the firm in 2024 as an associate attorney in the Corporate Department.

His practice focuses on Puerto Rico tax and corporate law, with an emphasis on corporate and individual taxation, tax compliance, and related regulatory matters. He advises clients on a broad range of issues involving individual and entity-level tax obligations, including Sales and Use Tax (SUT), municipal license tax, and other local tax compliance requirements.

His experience also encompasses tax exemption and incentive programs under Puerto Rico’s principal economic development statutes, including Act 20-2012 (Export Services Act), Act 22-2012 (Individual Investors Act), Act 73-2008 (Economic Incentives for the Development of Puerto Rico Act), and Act 60-2019 (Incentives Code). In addition, he assists clients through all stages of the commencement of business operations in Puerto Rico, and the implementation of economic development and investment incentive strategies to optimize their tax and business structures in Puerto Rico.
