Biography
Cristina M. Rodríguez-Paredes joined the firm in 2024 is an associate in the Corporate Department.
Cristina’s practice focuses on tax and corporate law. She is experienced with corporate tax planning and advice affecting insurance, energy, software, manufacturing, retail, tourism, and non-for-profit companies.
Prior to joining O’Neill & Borges, Cristina practiced as a Certified Public Accounting in the Tax Department of Deloitte, where she provided comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services. While pursuing her law degree, Cristina also worked in the tax departments of Puerto Rico’s largest telecommunications company and an international software and digital services company.
Cristina has a diverse corporate practice, assisting U.S. and international companies in establishing and expanding their operations in Puerto Rico across multiple sectors. Cristina regularly advises on Puerto Rico tax incentives under Act 60-2019, known as the Tax Incentives Code, including identifying opportunities, preparing and negotiating applications, and securing tax exemption grants and tax credits for eligible businesses.
She also supports clients in audits and examinations conducted by the Puerto Rico Department of the Treasury, the Office of Incentives, municipalities, and other administrative agencies.
