José R. Cacho

José Cacho is a former member and now a Senior Counsel in the Corporate Department. José’s practice focuses on corporate and financing transactions including mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending and public finance.  He also has considerable experience in assisting United States and foreign companies to establish operations in Puerto Rico including negotiating with pertinent government agencies and advising as to available tax and other location incentives.

During his career, he has represented:

• GTE in the acquisition of the Puerto Rico Telephone Company.
• Warner Chilcott in the acquisition of the Procter & Gamble Pharmaceutical business.
• Procesadora Campofresco, Inc. in the acquisition of the government owned pineapple and juice processing business.
