Puerto Rico’s Minimum Wage

The Minimum Wage Review Commission announced that, after evaluating the report presented by Abexus Analytics (a copy of the report can be accessed through this link: General Minimum Wage Report.pdf (pr.gov)), it decided to maintain the projected increase to the Puerto Rico minimum wage. Accordingly, effective on July 1, 2014, the new minimum wage applicable in Puerto Rico will be $10.50 per hour.

Employers must review its current compensation and payroll programs to ensure they comply with this new requirement.
