Jean M. Pérez-Torres

Perez’s practice is focused on employment and labor litigation before both Commonwealth and Federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.  Since he joined O’Neill & Borges, Pérez has worked on a wide variety of substantive areas, such as employment and labor, civil and commercial litigation, including insurance, and breach of contract claims.  Further, he provides guidance to clients in navigating settlement processes and extrajudicial claims. Pérez regularly represents employers in connection with administrative claims before the Puerto Rico Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the local Anti-Discrimination Unit.

While in law school, Pérez worked as summer associate and later as an intern at another Puerto Rico law firm, where he assisted on issues regarding commercial litigation arbitrations and white-collar matters.  Furthermore, prior to joining O’Neill & Borges in 2022, Pérez worked with federal class actions and multidistrict litigation as a paralegal at a known U.S. law firm.
