He
has been
in
private
practice
since
1984.
From
1988
to
1994,
he
was
an
associate
in
Cravath
Swaine
&
Moore
in
New
York.
Mr.
Pietrantoni's
practice
has
focused
on
corporate
and
public
finance,
mergers
and
acquisitions,
and
commercial
lending.
He
has
been
involved
in
dozens
of
offerings
of
municipal
securities,
corporate
debt
and
equity
securities
in
Puerto
Rico,
the
United
States
and
Latin
America,
representing
underwriters,
government
issuers,
corporations
and
other
private
issuers,
letter
of
credit
issuers
and
other
credit
enhancers,
bond
trustees
and
rating
agencies.
In
recent
years,
he
has
participated
in
numerous
municipal
securities
offerings
by
the
Commonwealth
of
Puerto
Rico
and
its
instrumentalities,
AFICA
conduit
financings,
and
offerings
by
publicly-traded
corporations,
investment
companies,
and
non-profit
hospitals
and
universities.
In
the
mergers
and
acquisitions
area,
Mr.
Pietrantoni
has
been
involved
in
several
major
transactions,
including
the
merger
of
Poncebank
with
Banco
Bilbao
Vizcaya
Argentaria,
the
leveraged
buyout
of
Holsum
de
Puerto
Rico,
and
the
merger
of
Roig
Commercial
Bank
with
Banco
Popular
de
Puerto
Rico.
Mr.
Pietrantoni
has
also
worked
in
numerous
bank
financings,
representing
both
borrowers
and
lenders,
including
Banco
Popular
de
Puerto
Rico,
Citibank,
Bank
of
Boston,
Chemical
Bank
(now
Chase)
and
Toronto
Dominion
Bank.
Mr.
Pietrantoni
has
also
represented
a
venture
capital
fund
in
numerous
venture
capital
investments
in
Puerto
Rico.
