Ismael
Vincenty-Medina
is
a
Partner
in
the
Corporate
Department.
He
joined
O'Neill
&
Borges
in
2004.
Before
joining
the
firm,
Mr.
Vincenty-Medina
was
Chief
Assistant
Secretary
for
the
Puerto
Rico
Treasury
Department
in
charge
of
the
areas
of
Internal
Revenue,
Tax
Policy
and
Legislation.
As
Chief
Assistant
Secretary
of
the
Treasury,
he
was
the
principal
tax
advisor
of
the
Secretary
and
responsible
for
coordinating
the
tax
policy
of
the
government
of
Puerto
Rico
between
the
executive
and
legislative
branches.
In
addition
to
his
governmental
experience,
Mr.
Vincenty-Medina
has
an
extensive
experience
in
the
private
practice,
including,
among
others,
the
structure
of
(i)
mergers
and
acquisitions,
(ii)
investment
and
financial
products,
and
(iii)
exempt
operations
under
the
various
Puerto
Rico
tax
incentives
laws. Mr. Vincenty-Medina
is also a Certified
Public Accountant.
