defense

range

corporate
clients
facing
issues
or
claims
related
to
their
products
in
both
the
Puerto
Rico
local
courts
and
in
the
United
States
District
Court
for
the
District
of
Puerto
Rico.
We
regularly
assist
clients
in
evaluating
potential
or
existing
claims
related
to
defective
products,
equipment
and
machinery.
We
support
our
clients
in
establishing
and
implementing
necessary
strategies
to
avoid
or
minimize
potential
claims
and
in
successfully
defending
asserted
ones.
We
also
have
ample
experience
in
defending
personal
injury
claims
related
to
alleged
defects
in
the
design,
manufacturing
or
installation
of
products
and
machinery,
as
well
as
those
asserting
inexistent
or
inadequate
warnings.
We
have
successfully
defended
a
large
stateside
manufacturer
of
vertical
transportation
systems
in
literally
hundreds
of
personal
injury
cases,
by
disposing
of
the
vast
majority
of
those
claims
either
by
nuisance
value
judgments
and
settlements
or
outright
dismissals,
with
very
few
of
the
cases
resulting
in
awards
that
may
be
characterized
as
non-nuisance.
We
have
been
actively
involved
in
the
defense
of
mass
tort
litigation
and
asbestos
litigation.
The
Firm

and
personal
injury
